This is a legacy version of Copado Robotic Testing help. This page will not be updated anymore.

See for up-to-date documentation.

If you are test cases are hosted at Copado’s Gitlab, Public GitLab or Public GitHub, you will follow the following process to link them to your suite.

  1. Click on the specific button, let's say GitLab.

  2. You will be asked to provide an access token. If you have already set this up, Copado Robotic Testing will use your existing token.

  3. Follow the steps mentioned in generating a gitlab access token to generate an access token.

  4. You will see a list of repositories that you either own or have access to. suitesourgit1

  5. Click Add to the repository you want to link your suite to.

  6. This will auto-fill the suite form. suitesourgit2

  7. You can enable video streaming and recording of tests. This will enable robots to record and live stream videos when they will execute the test cases.

  8. Similar to robots you can also pass suite specific variables and executor parameters.

  9. Hit save.

For public github, you would click on github option while adding a suite. You need to follow the exact same steps except for the access token generation. Refer to github access token generation guide.

You can assign a repository to multiple suites. For example, if you want to run same test cases against firefox and chrome, you will create two suites and link them to same repository. After which you will create a suite specific variable BROWSER:chrome & another suite specific variable BROWSER:firefox.
