All new AI-assisted PaceEditor

PaceEditor has undergone a substantial upgrade, which will revolutionize the way testing is conducted. There are a number of new and extremely useful features for you to explore.

Efficiency in testing is one of the core ideas behind Qentinel Pace, along with scalability and predictability. We are taking this to a all new level by packaging PaceEditor with numerous smart features, which will assist you in developing test cases and provide you with deeper insights in your tests.

There are tons of added features and you may read it all here. Allow me to give you a slight taste of the ways in which PaceEditor will assist you in writing test cases. Remember that PaceEditor, as any other intelligent entity, gets smarter with usage.

  1. Live check and error detection: PaceEditor is reviewing your test cases in real-time, without you having to trigger it explicitly. Whenever PaceEditor spots an error in your ways of using PaceWords, writing test cases, improper spacing, test settings etc. a short yet descriptive annotation is provided.

  2. Quick fixes: Not only you will be notified of any error in your tests, you will have an option to fix your error with the quick fix functionality. The quick fix complies with Qentinel Pace best practices.

  3. Predictive suggestions: PaceEditor is incessantly learning from your test cases and based on that making predictive suggestions on what your next test step is likely going to be.

  4. Unlikely patterns: Learning continuously from your test case data, PaceEditor can spot what test steps are unlikely to be in your test cases.

  5. Advanced test case analytics: For every test case, PaceEditor can offer you deep insights on the quality of your test case. It will weigh your current test case against the rest of the test cases, on the number of steps, correlation between the test flows, likelihood of passing/failing, a prediction on execution duration etc.

Live Testing

Live testing strengthens our promise of the most productive cloud-based test automation product. It is another giant leap on the front of efficiency in testing.

With live testing you can test a web application in live mode, develop test cases and get an instant visual feedback on your test steps. This all happens within Qentinel Pace, in a much more efficient way and without you having to download anything. Amazing, is it not!

A picture is worth a 1000 words. In the image below, I am testing a Salesforce application with Qentinel Pace. I am accessing Qentinel Pace with my browser and doing a web application testing within. Here, I am running a step at a time and verifying whether or not my test step works the way it should. Just ran the AppState and now I am inside the Salesforce application. Beauty of testing with Qentinel Pace.

You can do a number of things with live testing, to state a few:

  1. Run an existing test case

  2. Run a step at a time in an existing test case

  3. Write a step and execute

  4. Develop an entire test case and take it back to your suite

Adding a new suite has never been easier

With this update, creating a new empty suite is just a click away. While adding a suite under a robot, click on the empty suite option. After which you are all set to start using PaceEditor and writing your test cases. As a result, you don’t need to worry about creating a repo in git, authenticating Qentinel Pace against it and setting that up to write your first test case. Someone might call it lightning fast.

You can add files, folders and do everything that you are able to do with a git repo. Nevertheless, please be informed that the suite created by this approach is not a version controlled git repo in strict sense. It is safe, secure and strictly tied to your suite, as your results are but it is not version controlled. You may think of it as a directory in your local machine, but in cloud. Read more about suites here.

Enhanced in-app support

You will notice that the green intercom/chat icon is replaced by a brown support icon. This will enable us to support you even better. You may search for help documents and contact us by filling a short form. You can also track your support tickets.

Happy testing!
